Understand your PR

Your performance rating, PR, measures how well you played: the lower, the better. It is the equity you lost through errors, averaged over your decisions and multiplied by 500, as defined by eXtreme Gammon:

PR = (move errors + cube errors) × 500 / (move decisions + cube decisions)

  • A move counts as a decision only when the moves possible differ in equity.
  • In a chouette, only the box and captain move checkers, so a crew member's or partner's PR counts their cube decisions only.
  • Your PR over all games is shown once you have made 100 decisions; until then the matcher treats you as a 15.

As a guide: below 5 is world class, around 10 a strong club player, above 20 a beginner. The bots are labelled with the PR they play at.
